Our AI Team
In all of our work, we always consider two audiences: Human & Algorithm. Algorithms see our world, language, and people differently. And they play a significant role in filtering and determining what our human audiences see and hear.
In early 2021, PDA began intentionally “hiring AI” for our content and targeting teams – to help us better understand and use language appropriate for our algorithmic audience.
As with any effort at inclusion and diversity, AI team members often suggest or identify words and patterns
that are unique to their perspective (and might seem strange to their flesh-and-blood teammates).
AI also helps us identify AI working for the other side, facilitating identification of Dark SEO tactics and disinformation sources that use AI-generated headlines.
Our AI teammates are hard workers – we could not do all we do at the scale we do it without their help.
