Policy Research and Communications Fellow
Itziri was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, but was raised in Sanford, North Carolina. She graduated from Davidson College, cum laude, where she studied Political Science and Africana Studies. She was a Golden Door Scholar. During college, she discovered her passion for research and making a difference by interning at for-profit, nonprofit, and research organizations.
After Davidson, she worked as a College Advisor in rural North Carolina through AmeriCorp’s Davidson College Advising Corps program. She is an upcoming M.A. student at Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs where she will study Human Rights and Humanitarian Action. As a fierce advocate for underserved communities, she is committed to using information as a driving force to close inequality gaps with her work at Public Democracy America.
